"deep place" by madeinroath - English and Welsh info

"deep place" has been created for us by madeinroath artists Gail Howard and Helen Clifford. it is a site-specific installation with elements of performance, drawing upon the rites of spring, May Day traditions and International Workers' Day. the exhibition opens on Tuesday the 25th of April in 76m2 and will run until the 13th of May, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 to 6, with a special event on Monday the 1st of May. 

it is the third exhibition in a series of 9 organised in 76m2 by the*kickplate*project, with the support from the Arts Council of Wales, Torfaen Council’s Arts Development and Pontypool Community Council. ​

"studies in blue" ending, ffoton social in Cardiff & new exhibition coming!

Evening everyone,

we have a few project updates for you this week.

First of all, last Saturday we closed Marit Beer's show "studies in blue" and deinstalled it today. We'd like to thank Marit for participating and to all the visitors who came to our gallery in Pontypool, including the gentleman who popped in just as we were preparing to take the photos down :-) 

Second, tomorrow we'll be taking part in Ffoton's social in Cardiff, having an informal conversation about our work and the artists we've exhibited. It's upstairs from 10 Feet Tall in 12 Church Street, starting at 7.30. You can find more info on Ffoton's event page and twitter.  

Last but not least, our next show will be slightly different than others, a guest exhibition created for us by Gail Howard and Helen Clifford from Cardiff's madeinroath - for now we'd like to keep it a surprise, but we can say it's opening on the 25th of April (Tuesday).

"studies in blue" extended

Evening everyone,

we'd like to let you know that if you haven't been able to make it to Pontypool to see Marit Beer's exhibition, you now have an extra week to do so! We've extended the exhibition and it will now run till Saturday the 15th of April. We'll be open as normal, between 11 and 18 Tuesday to Saturday. 

Also, remember about our community darkroom - it's available for everyone to use!

now that we're in the final week of Marit Beer's exhibition, we'd like to share some images from the gallery and Pontypool town centre.

PS If you happen to be in Montélimar this month, or live nearby, make sure to visit Marit's exhibition in La Fabrique de L'Image presented there as part of  Expolaroid, an annual instant photography festival. We really wish we could make it there!
