Alicja Crave's "safe place" - gallery walls I

Evening everyone,

Alicja Crave's show "safe place" closed last week, so for those of you who couldn't make it, here is the first part of the photographs as they hang on our gallery walls.

"wasted films" by Kay Adams opens 27th of Feb


"wasted films” is a solo exhibition by experimental analogue photographer, Kay Adams. Kay manipulates film, Polaroid, light-sensitive paper and prints using various tools and techniques, such as emulsion lifts or multiple exposures, and applying darkroom chemicals, bleach and other household products to achieve unique and often unpredictable visual effects. The exhibition features Kay’s individual work, as well as the results of his collaboration with artists Nils Karlson and Graeme Webb.



“wasted films” is the second in a series of 9 exhibitions that will be organised in 2018 in 76m2, Pontypool by the*kickplate*project, with the support from the Arts Council of Wales, Torfaen Council's Arts Development and Pontypool Community Council.

Mae "ffilmiau gwastraff" yn arddangosiad solo gan y ffotograffydd anolog arbrofol, Kay Adams. Mae Kay yn llurginio ffilm, Polaroid, papur sensitif i olau a phrintiau'n defnyddio gwahanol ddulliau a thechnegau, megis codi emwlsiwn neu ddadleniadau lluosog a gosod cemegau ystafell dywyll, can a chynnyrch cartref arall i gael effeithiau gweledol unigryw ac aml annisgwy. Mae'r arddangosfa yn dangos gwaith unigol Kay, yn ogystal â chanlyniadau ei cydweithio gyda'r artistiaid Nils Karlson a Graeme Webb.


Mae "ffilmiau gwastraff" yn ail o gyfres o 9 arddangosfa a drefnir yn 2018 yn 76m2, Pont-y-pŵl gan brosiect *kickplate*, gyda chefnogaeth gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, Adran Datblygu Celfyddydau Cyngor Torfaen a Chyngor Cymuned Pont-y-pŵl.

"safe place" closing

Evening everyone,


Last Thursday, we closed Alicja Crave's show "safe place", our first show of the year. We'd like to thank our funders, the Arts Council of Wales, Torfaen Council Arts Development and Pontypool Town Council for supporting us this year, everyone who's come to visit us in 76m2 during the last three weeks and Alicja for exhibiting with us! Our next exhibition will open on Tuesday the 27th of February and we'll have info about it for you very soon. 






 For those of you who couldn't make it this time, 
we'll be posting images of the show on our gallery walls later this week.
