"They Loved This Place", second week + closing event

Evening everyone,

We're just coming to the end of the second week of Becca Thomas's and Clare Charles's guest show "They Loved This Place", featuring Becca's installation "Bench Making Experiments to Explore the Potential to Interrupt the Urban Environment for Well Being and Reclamation" and Clare's "Please Water the Plants". Here are a few more photographs from the gallery - the show is open till the 7th of July and will finish with a closing event running in the gallery between 19.30 and 21.00. Becca and Clare will be there talking about their exhibition, we'll have some snacks and refreshments available, and then from 21.00 to 23.00 artist Sam Hasler will lead a night walk from the gallery along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, finishing at the Star pub in Mamhilad. The walk is organised by Hinterlands Wales and is free for everyone to attend, with free bus transport from the Star back to Pontypool. You can read more about it on Hinterlands' event page, and if you'd like a lift back to Pontypool & New Inn Train Station or Pontypool bus station, you're only asked to kindly let the organisers know via free booking service on eventbrite.
