"exhale" by Stéphane Pellennec - more info

Morning everyone,

Today we're opening "exhale" by French photographer Stéphane Pellennec. Everyone is welcome to come and join us for drinks and snacks between 12 and 15!

And here's some more information about the exhibition:

“exhale” is a solo exhibition by Stéphane Pellennec, photographer from Brittany, France living and working in Finland. Stéphane’s work captures the experience of facing the vastness of landscape and the seemingly limitless water masses. His predominantly black and white images reflect the fluctuations of light, clouds and air, portraying nature not as a background for human activity, but as a living and dynamic entity.

The Finnish word that Stéphane uses to interpret his work, Äärettömyys, means “without edge, without limit, this is what we know as infinity in English language.

I have the feeling that at least during the laps of a moment, we all can touch the infinity. It's all happening now, the great adventure of the universe, we are part of it, as atoms, particles turning around. We are the universe. During a lapse of a click, I try to record those moments with my camera.”

You can find Stéphane’s photographs on his page and facebook

Mae “anadlu allan” yn arddangosfa solo gan Stéphane Pellennec, ffotograffydd o Lydaw sy'n byw ac yn gweithio yn y Ffindir. Mae gwaith Stéphane yn crisialu profiad wynebu enfawrder tirlun a chyrff dŵr sy'n ymddangos yn ddiderfyn. Mae'r rhan fwyaf o'i ddelweddau yn ddu a gwyn ac yn adlewyrchu amrywiadau golau, cymylau ac aer, gan bortreadu natur nid fel cefndir ar gyfer gweithgaredd dynol, ond fel rhywbeth byw a deinamig.

Mae'r gair o'r Ffindireg y mae Stéphane yn ei ddefnyddio i ddehongli ei waith.  Äärettömyys, yn golygu “heb hymyl, heb derfyn, annherfynoldeb,  yr hyn a elwir yn Saesneg yn infinity.

Rwy'n teimlo o leiaf yn ystod treigl ennyd, y gall pawb ohonom gyrraedd annherfynoleb. Mae'r cyfan yn digwydd nawr, antur fawr y bydysawd, rydym yn rhan ohono, fel atomau, gronynnau'n troi o amgylch. Ni yw'r bydysawd. Yn ystod treigl clic, rwy'n ceisio cofnodi'r ennydau hyn gyda fy nghamera."

Medrwch ganfod gwaith Stéphane ar ei dudalenau a facebook.
