"exhale" by Stéphane Pellennec and "the cold earth slept below" by Vaida Barzdaite

Evening everyone,

You're probably quite busy at this time of year, but if you do have some time to spare over the holiday period, we have three exhibitions available for you to see!

First, as we mentioned before, Keith Mendenhall's show "winter prelude" is on in the window display of 4 Broad Street, Abersychan till the 15th of January.

Second, Stéphane Pellennec's "exhale", which we originally presented in 76m2, Pontypool is now on display in the foyer of Wales's oldest cinema, the Market Hall Cinema in Brynmawr - also projected onto the cinema's screen before the films start. You can see the exhibition free of charge whenever it's open to the public, so just make sure to check their schedule if you're travelling from further afield. And if you can, support this fantastic place by going to see a film there, it is a really unique and beautiful venue.

Last but not least, we have a surprise for you in the window of our gallery in Pontypool!

Vaida Barzdaite's "the cold earth slept below", featuring analogue medium format photographs that she took in south east Welsh Valleys last winter, is there for you to see till mid January. Vaida is a film photographer and food blogger from Kaunas, Lithuania, living and working in Cardiff. You can find her work on her page and blog, and read an interview with Vaida on Irina and Silviu Szekely's website.

We hope that those of you who celebrate have a calm and merry Christmas,
and we wish you all a happy New Year!
